About Putri

Putri was born and raised in Indonesia. Although her family is originated from Central Java, she did most of her growing up in Manado, Sulawesi. Putri moved to the United States in 2004 to pursue a bachelor degree in Civil & Engineering in Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan, thanks to a generous tuition donation from her parents. After graduating and then working in Michigan for 2 years, she finally said enough to Michigan and moved to the cheese state of Wisconsin. Putri now lives in Milwaukee, where she spends her weekdays working as a consultant in an environmental consulting firm, her weeknights pursuing an MBA degree in University of Wisconsin, and her weekends in the gym, on bicycles, or around friends.

What is Lorem Ipsum Dolsot Bibimbap? It's a pun on "lorem ipsum dolor sit amet". You know that lorem ipsum is an filler text in a non-sensical Latin language used in many sample texts. Dolsot bibimbap is a signature Korean dish, a mix of various vegetables, egg, and red pepper paste, that the author wouldn't mind eating everyday. I figure that's how the author wishes her blog turn out to be: a mix of different things from all over the world, sometimes non-sensical, sometimes deeply cultural, and hopefully fulfilling for you.

Putri has never really lived in cultures that are her own (not even when she lived in her home country). She took interest in the different cultures. She had witnessed including social norms, slangs, transportation modes, architecture styles, and, of course, foods. After a while, she realized that she had seen way more things than she could remember, so a blog might be a good idea to immortalize the little pieces of memory. So this blog will talk about the different places she has visited, people’s habits, exotic foods, and she might as well throw in some random topics while she’s at it. She wish that through this blog, you could see some things that she thought was cool.
